“A Grand Alliance to Save Our Public Postal Service” has been very successful in such a short amount of time. The Alliance is now made up of 74 national organizations and many state and local organizations continue to join.

The Postal Service needs our help in the fight to maintain and enhance its public service. Mail delivery has been drastically delayed since the reduction in service standards went into effect on January 5. The planned closings of 82 more mail processing centers will only make things worse.

We are urging you to come out and join the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) on Thursday May, 14 2015, for a National Day of Action: “I Stand with Postal Workers” at locations nationwide.

You can also participate in a campaign to help keep the public Postal Service vibrant by signing a postcard to Postmaster General Megan Brennan: “I Stand With Postal Workers.”
